Goalpost Safety

Many of you will have read during the week about the successful action taken by a father of a boy who was tragically killed at a soccer camp in 2004 when a goal post fell on him. All managers/team officials are responsible for the proper erection, supervision and dismantling of portable goals. The clubs GOAL POST SAFETY POLICY has been added to the CLUB POLICIES section of the website. Please take the time to familiarise yourself with this. Unfortunately the goalposts in the All Weather cannot be properly secured. It is therefore vitally important that managers instruct players not to swing out of the posts and property supervise players at all times.
