Goalpost Safety Policy
Team Managers Roles & Responsibilities:
Before any match or training session, all portable goals must be:- Fully and properly assembled.
- Securely anchored (using the pins provided) to prevent toppling.
- Supervised at all times – under NO circumstances shall managers/team officials leave protable goals unsupervised.
- All ground anchors/pins must be removed and properly stored on completion of the last game of the day/session.
- After usage, goals shall be stored in the container allocated. Only responsible adults shall move, store assemble or disassemble the goals sets.
Designated Managers/Team Officials, on assembling portable goals, must test all goalposts to ensure their stability. [For the purposes of this procedure the designated team official shall be the manager with the first game on the pitch of the day]
Managers/Team Officials must ensure that nobody climbs on, swings from or otherwise uses or attempts to use portable goal post for any purpose other than what it is designed for.
